As cliché as it may sound, it started circa 2004-5, when 14 y/o me came across DeviantArt. I was so taken aback to how talented people were, and how much they could achieve with something as ‘simple’ and as much as a ‘daily object’ as a camera.
I remember playing around with my dad’s film DSLR (a Nikon F-801 I think) when I was a kid, then the compact digital cameras appeared and me and my Nikon E5900 became best friends (best macro lenses on a compact camera I’ve ever seen tbh!)
Look at that pretty crisp macro, dude!!!
My dad’s Nikon D80 was the first DSLR I got my hands on. After 5 years of constant stolen moments I got my own: My beloved Canon 60D
Canon 60D with a Canon 35mm f/2. I also own a Canon 50mm f/1.8 and a kit lense Canon 17-85mm f/4-5.6
I also sometimes use the old Nikon F-301

GIMP! Photoshop seemed way too complicated and I didn’t had access to the software at that time
Photoshop CS6 or CC, depends on which computer I am atm.
I am mainly self-taught as I’ve never been to any Photography nor Photoshop class. I watched and read a lot of Photoshop tutorials and then applied them to Gimp. I also liked to just play around a lot. On my early days I used to over-use textures and layered out a lot!
I guess I could say I’m obsessed with human nature. I’m a very introspective person, so I’m fascinated about feelings, and the constant diatomic battle of light and dark. I believe from the darkest moments the brightest images are born.
As for now, photography is a hobby. A very important, and necessary for my mental-health hobby; but I don’t get anything out of it. But I’d like to pursue it as a career in the future, once my studies are over! (even though it’s scary as hell!!!)
I’d die to own a Canon 5D *__* with an underwater case and a wide angle lens. If that’s not too much to ask…
Tiny little feature of the latest most inspiring pieces!
